Beige Woven Upcycled Leather Bag

I told myself I didn't need another woven bag. Then I met this one. Safe to say, my willpower didn't stand a chance.

I loved how versatile it is. Carry it as a clutch, wear it crossbody, or sling it over your shoulder depending on the occasion. And that colour. It's the kind of soft beige that seems to go with almost everything in my wardrobe.

But what made me fall for this bag most was the story behind it. It's handcrafted by artisans in Myanmar who once wove traditional rattan baskets. Over the years, working with rattan took a toll on their hands, so they turned their craftsmanship to weaving leather instead. The leather itself comes from offcuts and surplus pieces from factories that produce bags for luxury brands, giving beautiful materials a second life instead of letting them go to waste.

It's a bag with heart, one that carries not only your essentials, but also the skill, resilience, and craftsmanship of the people who made it.
